The CVCA is the charity that previously ran and maintained the community centre for Clifton village. It's purpose is to promote and protect the interests of local residents, as well as encouraging community events and activities in the area.

We are a voluntary community organisation focussing on different activities, mainly sport, football, cricket and junior cricket, brass band and various community groups meet in our premises.

Our vision is to support, enable and empower local residents to identify priorities and develop services, activities and projects that contribute to the development of the area by developing adult education opportunities, providing a weekly youth club, providing an affordable space for the local community and working with residents and partners to improve local cohesion and tackle marginalisation.

HVA's purpose is to improve the life of its inhabitants. In furtherance of this, events are held including the village fete; the village dance; the village pantomime; a quiz evening and a childrens Christmas party. It publishes an excellent quarterly magazine. The association may make grants for educational and sporting endeavours from a trust established for the benefit of young people.

Stannington Community Association exists to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Stannington area by providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving life for said inhabitants. This is done by managing and maintaining a community centre.
