In the last year we have secured a 30 year lease for Fishergate Postern Tower from the City of York Council. We are now in the process of applying for funding and obtaining statutory consents to carry out repairs to the tower and create more permanent displays for visitor. We continue to open the tower and other areas of York's city walls to the public to promote their use and conservation.

To advance the education of the public in the subjects of local history, family history and other subjects relating to the collections of Horsham Museum and Art Gallery and to assist and support the development of the charitable work of the museum, its collections and library in such ways as the trustees shall think fit for the benefit of the public.

To advance the Christian Religion by preserving, repairing, maintaining and improving the fabric of St Andrews Church Wormingford and the fixtures and fittings thereof, and the grounds surrounding the Church including the wall abutting Church Road

The Friends of the Harris exists to support the work of the Harris Museum, Art Gallery & Library through fundraising. In recent years we have funded a range of projects, including purchases, conservation, exhibitions, community-focussed work and a capital development.

Grants are made towards repairs and conservation of Lastingham Church, together with purchases to enhance its facilities. Activities include general education about its history and activities. Fund-raising events included the traditional Lastingham Lecture and other lectures, garden parties and concerts.

Funds for church projects are raised by volunteers providing refreshments in the church hall - usually on Sunday afternoons during the summer. Second hand books and bric/brac are also sold.

We organise a range of events to raise money to benefit all the children at the school. Events we have planned are Easter Bingo, Discos, Summer and Christmas Fayres.

Friends of Laleham Gap School will help to provide an enhanced curriculum and additional support to help reach the life potential of every pupil, also ensuring that those from low income families do not miss out on extra curricular activities/opportunities.

We support Fort Royal Community Primary School, a generic special school for children with a range of learning, physical, social and emotional needs aged 2-11.
