We are a parent/teacher association and during this financial year we ran raffles, school fayres, discos, film nights and sold Christmas cards. With the funds raised from these events we contributed towards a number of activities and items that enhanced the children learning experience such as school visits and additional resources for classrooms.

Raising money from various events/activities within Kingsacre Primary School to help fund new equipment and Fresh Fruit Friday.

We raise funds and provide practical help to preserve and conserve St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Thorpe End Melton Mowbray, for the public benefit, to enable them enjoy and appreciate the historic building as part of our heritage. We provide support to maintain, preserve and improve the fabric, furnishings and fittings of the historic church building and support the upkeep of its grounds.

To advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:1) Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school; and2) engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

The charity?s objects are, for the public benefit, to preserve and protect the building, grounds and historic contents of Saint Giles? Church, Cambridge. To this end, we have commissioned an architect to examine underfloor heating, improved lighting and the creation of useable community spaces and storage. We also promote understanding of local heritage through free monthly talks.

Raising money for school equipment

This is a Friends charity which exists to fundraise for and make grants to Towcester Studio Band, a traditional brass band which was founded in Towcester in 1910.

Friends of Croft Community School aims to support the students of Croft Community School by providing opportunities and extra-curricular activities, with particular emphasis on mental health and wellbeing, along with fitness and outdoor pursuits. A key objective is to work with the local community to ensure that our young people are given equal opportunities to fulfil their individual potential.

Fundraising events and school-based activities

To advance the education of the pupils at Ysgol Gymraeg Pwll Coch by providing and assisiting in the provision of facilities (not required to be provided by the Local Education Authority) for education at the school.

To support the charitable work of the Lancashire Army Cadet Force in such ways as the committee shall think fit; in particular but not exclusively by the provision of grants and donations.

Fund raising included Skittles night, Bingo night, Raffles, Open Garden, Coffee Mornings, Bag Packing at local Supermarkets, Shop and Local table top sales and the Hospital Tea Trolley.

The Friends of St Marcellins Children support St Marcellins Childrens Village in Harare, Zimbabwe to provide education, nutrition and healthcare for orphans and vulnerable children. This is done through giving both financial and practical support in terms of making sure the children receive the physical and psychological care they need . There are currently 73 children at the village.
