League for the period of 1.1.09 to 31.12.09, funded 48 concerts in the homes, give a Capita Grant of -ú25, so every resident received a Christmas present/party. In addition, in line with the Charity Commissions thought, we had a surplus of -ú3000 which we divided equally between the two trusts to re-fund, resulting in a wide variety of objects purchased for the benefit of the resident.

Friends of Dunholme School (FODS), are a volunteer organisation who raise funds to enrich the education of pupils at Dunholme St Chads School.

Friends of Shipham Schools (FOSS) provide facilities or equipment that support Shipham First School and Preschool and advance pupils' education. This is achieved through fundraising activities and events involving teachers, parents, and families associated with the school and the wider community. FOSS operates in Shipham.

The Friends of St Bedes aims to raise funds and give support to St Bede's RC Primary School in order to provide the children with additional learning experiences which the school budget cannot fund. Events such as Summer and Christmas Fayres, discos, race nights, fashion shows etc. are examples of fundraising activities undertaken.

The charity is established to advance the Christian faith; to advance education, particularly in the arts; and to follow such other charitable purposes as the trustees shall from time to time determine.

The Friends of the Rosie have been in existence for the past 50 years. Our aim is to raise money to buy comforts and equipment that the NHS cannot provide for mothers and babies both in the hospital and in the district. We run stalls selling knitted goods. We can always use any offers of help and new volunteers to support our work.
