The Friends of Thetford Dad's Army Museum runs the Dad's Army Museum in Thetford which provides displays about the BBC TV programme and its links to the Thetford area as well as the Home Guard. In addition the Friends seek to participate in events and projects that will raise the profile of the Museum, one such project was the erection of a statue of Captain Mainwaring in Thetford in 2010.

FOBBVS primarily fundraises to assist the school with additional equipment. It is currently looking to provide an outside sensory garden and to replace the hi fi sound system currently used in the hall.

Fundraising for the benefit of the children of The Dunbury School

We exist for the purpose of fundraising towards the well-being and education of the children of St John's Primary School, Sandbach Heath and also to make the school a happy, safe and rewarding place to learn. Monies raised are used to fund the cost of new equipment, educational trips and to help improve the school and its environment.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR BY: (1) DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STAFF, PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL; (2) ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS

The objects of the Friends shall be to maintain, repair, restore, preserve, improve, beautify & reconstruct for the benefit of the public the fabric of the Church of Idlicote, its monuments, fixtures, fittings, furniture, stained glass, ornaments & other chattels of its churchyard.

Friends of St James Okehampton (FOSJO) supports pupils at St James Primary and Nursery School by facilitating projects which offer the children activities and resources that are outside of but complementary to the remit of the school. FOSJO organises various fundraising events to achieve this.

The object of the Association is to advance the education of pupils in the school -a) Develop relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.b) Engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of thepupils attending it.c) Provide facilities or items for education (not provided from statutory funds).

The friends raise money by holding various concerts, car boot sales, our strawberry tea, xmas bazaar, bbq/luncheon, various raffles, church stall/tea bar, sunshine bags.

Fund raising activities to give the children the extras not covered by the LEA budget. We are currently raising funds for class activities including residential visits.

Raise funding to improve the fabric,fittings and furniture of the Roman Catholic Cathedral of East Anglia (The Cathedral) and to promote public interest in the Cathedral and it's history, and to unite in a common fellowship all interested in the Cathedral.
