The Friends of Northenden Community School exists to support the pupils of Northenden Community School via the generation of additional funds through fundraising events (discos, summer fair, raffles, etc.), grant funding and the contribution of local businesses who wish to support the PTA and the school.

The Friends of Smithy Bridge School Association organise fundraising and social activities to benefit the children of Smithy Bridge Primary School. The CIO intend to provide the practical means for the general public to obtain free access to Castle Cove Beach. It is expected that this will involve footpaths and steps. We also intend to maintain the beach to enable the general public to use the beach for recreational and educational purposes. This is expected to include the organisation of beach cleaning events.

With the money that we raise we provided equipment for the children at the school i.e seating , walking aids, toliet seats boxes for the children to sit on in class, reading aids. We also help towards trips and hoildays and christmas treats and anything else that the children need which the education and health won't pay for.
