However much we would all like to see more funding in education, there will always be shortfalls. FOWSA's fundraising events pay for those extras which benefit all the children in Wistow School. The League supports the work of the Wallingford Community Hospital principally by the purchase of medical equipment, contributing to the fabric and furnishing of the hospital buildings and providing comforts and amenities for patients.

FUND RAISING FOR RUSHBURY SCHOOL

We hold events throughout the school year to raise funds for West Ashton Primary School to fund/help fund projects, equipment and activities for the children's enjoyment which is not normally covered by the school's budget.

The aim of Keep Kids in School is just that: to help kids that have lost one or both parents to keep going to school in the face of severe poverty. We fundraise and support the work of a local NGO, APEED-Benin, in West Africa. We keep kids in school by paying towards their school fees, buying school books, stationery and cloth to make school uniforms, maintaining a project library and mentoring.

The charity exists solely as support for the Gloucester Waterways Museum in Gloucester Docks. This support is both financial (usually to support particular projects in the Museum) and through the help given by individuals to maintain and run working exhibits at the Museum (for instance the Dredger, Narrow Boat etc).
