General Charitable activities

As an affiliate to Rotary International Britain & Ireland,the Rotary Club of Liverpool Exchange supports local & international charities by organising cash collections in Liverpool.

The main activity is to raise funds to enable the trust fund to make cash donations to both local charities; and organisations that provide services to the general public.Between 10 and 20 local charities are supported annually.The trust fund also makes occasional donations to national and international charities.

Funds are raised through voluntary effort and then disbursed to individuals and organisations as charitable donations

OUR CLUB IS A MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL ROTARY MOVEMENT, AND CONSEQUENTLY FOLLOWS THE GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF THAT MOVEMENT, WHICH INCLUDE RAISING MONEY TO DISTRIBUTE TO LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL CHARITIES AND SERVING THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITHIN THE TERMS OF "SERVICE BEFORE SELF"

The charity assists with funds for local good causes and charities in Solihull and the West Midlands UK. Members of the Rotary Club of Solihull St Alphege decide on which beneficiaries to support on a monthly or annual basis.

Our Rotary Club Trust Fund, continues to raise funds to benefit all people in our local community, local charities, National charities, to give support and relieve their suffering, and Internationally raising funds for Lengijave and the Olbak Primary School in Tanzania and Overseas Aid Organisations.

Providing grants to young people in Canterbury undertaking voluntary work and in particular, to assist with charitable organisations working abroad.

Rotary Club of Spalding's Charity arm.

Financial help to local organisations, particularly caring for the young, old and vulnerable. Help in the field of environment and culture. Assisting with educational schemes. All these within the area of the Club's area of activities. A limited amount of help towards overseas projects.

Fundraising for charities and other worthy causes in both the UK and Overseas

We run two or three charity events each year, usually aimed at the poor, children or senior citizens. We make donatiions to local charities aimed mainly at the young, old or disadvantaged. We also give donations to overseas charitable organisations, including larger projects (e.g. in South Africa) with our "Twinned" Rotary Clubs in Germany, Holland and Belgium.
