Rotary Club

Community Service, International Service and Rotary Foundation Charity

For the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purposes as the club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.To make grants, donations to individuals, Rotary and other organisations (incl schools, charities, etc. and international relief) and provide human resources (e.g. staff/volunteers) for events including fundraising and community and vocational services.

Makes grants to individuals for educational purposes & training. The individuals are children & young people.

Management of the clubs affairs in accordance with the governing document and generation of funds for the relief of the poor and needy or to or for such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct and the distribution thereof.

Rotary Club

Our charity wishes to continue a wide remit as possible as indicated in A14 - It does not wish to offer a closer definition which may result in a restriction. Being a charity associated with a Rotary Club there is encouragement from Rotary International to consider particular projects/causes which the Rotary International president wishes to support in his/her presidential year.

Responding to direct approaches from local applicants, or in cooperation with social services and other organisations, the Trust can assist in deserving cases. It also responds to appeals for assistance following national disasters, and similar events around the world, to try to relieve distress and hardship.

Provision of "hands on" help for the benefit of deserving groups within the vicinity of Cardiff West. Fundraising in order to provide financial support to deserving groups in the local community, to support the Rotary Programme to eradicate polio and to support various national and international good causes.

Relief of suffering and poverty and support of other registered charities

To provide financial support for rotary charities and selected local charities also helps overseas appeals and charities as approved by club council and agreed by the membership of the rotary club.

To raise funds and to disburse them to those people and organisations specified below.

Various fund-raising activities are carried out under the auspices of the Rotary Club (e.g. golf event, sporting dinner). Donations are received from individuals and organisations.

To raise money by holding such events as a Harvest Supper, President's Picnic, Concerts etc.By collecting at local stores. By sponsorship. By donation.To donate money to other worthy nominated, in sponsoring local young people in worthy endevours. Rotary charities in general

We support local, national and international charity groups to help with their financing of activities for people in their community; and local students seeking to add to the funds that they have already received for studying or activities they wish to pursue at home or abroad. We also support the cost of supplies being sent to areas where disasters have occurred at home or abroad.

To provide charitable help and assistance to local, national and international causes, including areas such as youth, educational, medical, sickness, famine relief, poverty and disability.
