We are part of the Lions Club International group of clubs. We are based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire supporting elderly,disadvantaged and young persons and groups locally.

Rotary Foundation funds more than 1,000 scholarships annually to enable students to study overseas and act as cultural ambassadors for their home country. Rotary clubs have to date contributed US$600 million to polio elimination worlwide.

Rotary Club collects money by public collections and functions and redistributes to local and international charities

General Charitable Activities

Fundraising activities to raise funds so that we can make donations to needy organisations which we consider are deserving.

We are a Lions Club and our aim is to raise funds for Charities supported by Lions Clubs International and local Charities.

The Charity raises Funds through an annual dinner hosted by sports celebrities, a Father Christmas Sleigh and public collections at super markets. It is the policy of the club that 100% of all proceeds are donated to local causes. To this end the club uses contact with the local authority to seek out deserving applicants for funding.

Fund Raising for local and international charities, together with practical hands on assistanace in those areas.

During this year we raised funds doing events such as; Beer Festival, boxing day dip, Tombola, Paint Run proceeds from these and other events enabled us to make donations to Lions charities & projects plus other organisations as well as providing finance for community related services & activities within our area.

The club raises funds through sponsored activities, Christmas sleigh runs, raffles, Bar B Q's and various other members initiatives.Donations are given to local charities, local community organisations and international organisations for relievement of suffering

Fundraising to be distributed to Rotary supported charities

The Charity, for the most part, raises and spends funds within the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme. Funds are raised from the public in various ways and distributed by way of grants to deserving causes, mainly groups. The emphasis is on Special Needs, the elderly and Youth. Currently approximately 5% of our outgoings go to our International Funding.

Holding events of varying types for the purpose of raising funds from the public and from members of the club and thereafter dispensing the funds for the benefit of charity generally.

Supports other local, national and internaltional charities

We are a Community Service Organisation dedicated to providing assistance to the vulnerable in our local community and abroad. Our activities include: Musical evenings, Race nights, Specialised Equipment, Senior Citizens' Party, Day trips for vulnerable children and adults. Our overseas support includes Sightsavers, WaterAid and emergency disaster aid. All members are volunteers.

We support The Samaritans, Petrus Day Centre, Life Education Unit, Kids Out, Disabled Sports, The Most Improved Student Award, Best apprentice (Hopwood Hall College), Rochdale Youth Orchestra, Excitement of Science event for Schools, "Seniors Out", Rotary Life Boxes, Rotary Shelter Boxes, Christmas Parcels, Friends Together, Christie NHS Foundation Trust & Migraine Action & Medic Malawi

The support of local, national and international organisations and individuals whose activities benefit the community in which they operate.

Raising funds for other charities both in the Basingstoke area and throughout the world.

We are a Rotary Club raising funds by arranging local events and distributing the resulting funds to mainly local worthy individuals or organisations for charitable or educational purposes.

The benefit of the poor and needy living in the territorial area of the Rotary Club of Henley-On-Thames or other charitable institutions.

The relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the Rotary Club of St Albans Verulamium shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.
