Social activities and fundraising events

Becconsall U3A provides educational and social activities for the retired and semi retired as defined by the University of the Third Age Trust in the areas of Hesketh Bank, Tarleton, Banks and surrounding villages.

We provide and assist in the provision of activities and initiatives in Cranbrook and the surrounding areas to promote health and social inclusion, so that people can make connections and benefit from improved health and wellbeing. Activities include community walks, lunch clubs, choirs, volunteering, training, workshops and other social activities that bring people together on a regular basis.

Provides a voluntary group for young people aged 10-26 with interests in the countryside, animals, enviroment and rural skills & issues through enablement, training and the provision of related social activities

Provides transport to events organized by the Club and to medical appointments and suchlike for disabled persons. Handicrafts and social activities are organized on a weekly basis as are occasional outings to appropriate venues.

The activities of our charity includes Sunday church service, youth & young adult small group bible studies, youth & young adult social activities, music lessons, joining in community events, training for young ministers, prayer meetings.

Management of our village hall for the use of village groups and rental for parties, filming and other social activities.

WE PROVIDE GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS IN FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND ALSO TO LOCAL VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS WHICH PROVIDE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE IN THE CIVIL PARISH OF SHERE, SURREY.
