Associations Charities That specialise in Youth Groups

The Unit undertakes a number of activities which are completed in groups or as individuals. We play games, build of skills for everyday living, leadership and social. The girls complete badges and work through the Girlguiding programme. The girls have many opportunities at county events, local events and residentials/camps.

Scouting.Promotion of the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The Hall is used for Fund raising events for the Village Hall, Hall Committee Film Club, Guides, Brownies, Lunches for the Community, Private parties, Parish Council meetings, Yoga classes, Tai Chi classes, Meditation and other leisure activities, with the aim of improving the life of the Village and surrounding community.

Providing progressive Cadet Training, often of a challenging and exciting nature,to foster confidence,self reliance,loyalty and a sense of service to other people.

Provide training and recreational facilities for young people aged 10 - 18 years living in Romsey and the surrounding area

trains young people from ages 8 - 18 on discipline, team building, seamanship skills, sailing, boat handling and demonstrating how they can each develop and grow to become upstanding members of the local community

Relevant activities in accordance with the Policy Organisation and Rules (POR) of theScout Association.

The Naval Cadet Corps operates one training unit, TS OCEAN, providing cadet training to children aged 10-18 years of age in the disciplines and ways of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. This teaches the children respect, responsibility and good citizenship.The units also help out in the local community and attend functions such as Remembrance Parades and Armed Forces Days.

The 11th Romsey (Kings Somborne) Scout Group operates in the local area as part of Romsey District Scouts. The Group works to enhance the development of young people and is governed by The Scout Association (national) guidelines.
