O.P.A.L. Centre is a special needs play scheme that delivers a child-centred, personalised provision, always with the child in mind. It works with children and young people aged 6-25 giving them a chance to socialise, explore new opportunities and learn skills through the means of play. O.P.A.L. Trustees support education costs for hugely disadvantaged children from the 'slums' of Bangalore, India, the costs of University education for a gifted Ghanaian also a UK volunteer working amongst rural Gipsies in Romania who are rejected by many. Trustees also address other needs, both overseas and in the UK, as and when they present themselves.

The charity runs the Knights Way Community Centre in Knights Way on the East Ham Estate in Brentwood.The aim is that the Community Centre should act as a hub in the community providing services for children, young people and older residents, and as a place that people can hire for private use and businesses and individuals can hire to provide services to the community.

Raising funds from parents of our school for the better schooling of children of our school. Fund raisers are (in order of most financial): Annual Auction/Dinner & Dance, Summer Fair, Bingo, Christmas Fair, Used Uniform sales, Read-a-thon, lunch clubs, Christmas card sales, cake sales.

We are a Charity Montessori Pre-school that is currently operating in Tavistock where St Peters School is located, we provide learning for 2-5 years old following the Early Years Curriculum with Montessori ways helping them prepare for primary school and life, this is a more independent way of learning and is proven to help with self confidence and esteem which benefits the children.
