We are a large primary school. We hold regular fund raising activities for the children and their wilder family. Our aim from the events is to develop effective relationships between staff and families. The Museum is unique, because when the last master hosier died in 1952, the workshop was locked and left, leaving seventeenth century frames intact with other equipment. Part of the Museum consists of a modified seventeenth century farmhouse, that was used as the family residence for the master hosiers over the decades.

As a charity associated with a school the purpose is to raise funds that will benefit the children's education and social wellbeing.
