Umoyo Community Project strives to meet the needs of orphaned boys and girls within their communities in Malawi. Our aim is to empower and enable them and their carers within the extended family to have a better future. We continue to do this by providing them with help towards their education, better sanitation, safe water and easily accessible healthcare.

Girlguiding Wakefield South provides opportunities for girls and women of all ages to try new activities, develop skills and share experiences that will benefit them throughout their lives. Local units of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers are run by volunteers who give their time freely to enable girls and young women to share the fun and friendship of Guiding.

GIRLGUIDING ACTIVITIES IN HATCH END

We provide basic education to the community, English classes, support for mothers and their babies by giving reusable nappies, clothing and hygiene products. Girls have classes on self care and hygiene while receiving reusable sanitary towels, knickers, soap and other toiletries. We provide a safe space to learn, confide, play and develop the local community.

GIRLGUIDING

WGSG PFA provides support for the school through the services given at school events such as the Kent 11 plus test, open evenings and the Year 11 Prom. The PFA also organises fund-raising events (e.g. school discos, Christmas fairs, pamper evenings, quiz and race nights) to fund the Bookbuzz programme and help finance much needed school equipment and facilities.

The charity's activities include the running of Girlguiding Dunstable Division, Windy Sayles (indoor residential, activity centre and campsite) and Windy Sayles shop (selling badges, books, uniform etc)

Girl Guiding enables girls & young women to develop their potential and to make a difference to the world.

The JPP Foundation funds a project in Pushkar, Rajasthan, which provides support to local underprivileged boys and girls. It enables them to attend a local school and provides them with safe after-school facilities and homework support. The project also provides meals, clothing and pastoral care for 3 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Leadership development for female with financial and non-financial means. We call the girls and women we work with "Rising Stars." Financial is focused on support for tertiary education. Non financial is focused on leadership training and mentorship.

It also has a strong and supportive executive committee. The Group has its own scout hall, activity area and a wide range of equipment for camping and other events. It has its own mini bus with safety seat belts.
