We offer girls (aged 5-18) opportunities to develop their potential through a programme of activities filled with fun and adventure, helping them develop their skills, grow in confidence and contribute to the wider world. We also provide a range of volunteering opportunities for women (over 18yrs) to work with children, develop leadership skills and undertake administrative and support roles.

Operates throughout Wakefield district to promote and play association football by adults, girls, boys, and disabled people.

Evening meetings of scouts, cubs, beavers and explorers and some additional weekend and pack holiday activities. Varied programme of work within the community organised by leaders and carried out by boys and girls aged 6-16.

The club also provides opportunities for any young person to go away on residential trips and to participate in many outdoor activities.This club also provides a service to the community, making its premises available to hire, to anyone, providing their activity is safe and legal.

Scouting for boys and girls

The main purpose of the Women's Institute organisation are to advance the education of women and girls for the public benefit in all areas including local, national and international issues of political and social importance, music, drama and other cultural subjects. To advance health to the public and to advance citizenship for the public benefit by the promotion of civic responsibility.

St Hilda's has an active beaver, cub & scout section providing activities and friendship for girls and boys aged 6 to 14 years.

The Sea Cadet Movement is a youth organisation for boys & girls between the ages of 10-18

Girl Guiding UK. We support and help members both Brownie Guides & Girl Guides to enjoy & participate inall activites the movement has to offer. This may also support the leaders running units to obtain training which will benefit the girls.

FUND RAISING FOR THE GIRL GUIDES AND MEMBERS SUBSCRIPTIONS

Girlguiding Crofton District provides the personnel and facilities to promote the education of girls and young women to help them develop so that they can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world.

The unit follows Girlguiding UK's programme for Guides, girls aged 10-14, and takes part in local, county and national events and challenges as they arise. The unit camps usually once a year and girls are encouraged to take part in international camps. As we own our own hut, we are also involved in fundraising to maintain and improve it. We welcome girls from Thames Ditton and surrounding areas

3rd Eastwood (St Mary's) Scout Group provides activities for boys and girls in the Beavers (6 yrs - 8 yrs), cubs (8 yrs - 10 1/2 yrs) and scouts (10 1/2 yrs - 14 yrs). These activities are aimed at encouraging social and life skills: independence, initiative, leadership and survival. They attend camps (e.g. canoeing) where they utilise these skills.
