the main purposes of the WI organisation are: a)to advance the education of women and girls for the public benefit in all areas. b) to promote sustainable development for the public benefit, c)to promote health for the public benefit and d)to advance citizenship for the public benefit by the promotion of civic responsibility and volunteering.

The main activities for this year have been to follow the Guiding programmes for each section as set by The Guide Association

PROVIDING A SAFE HOME FOR GIRLS IN BETHANY WITH ACCESS TO EDUCATION AND HEALTH CARE

The Cylch is registered for 15 children each day and accepts girls and boys between the ages of twoyears and school age. We work within the Foundation Phase of the National Curriculum, which isabout enhancing the learning experiences which enables children to be creative imaginative and tohave fun whilst learning.The Cylch Meithrin is run through the medium of Welsh.

1st Shirley Guides is for girls aged 10 - 14. They take part in exciting activities on Friday evenings and at special events or camps. Guides do adventure sports, play fun games, and take part in community and fund raising projects. Guides work together in Patrols and, with the support of adult Leaders, choose and run activities in line with the new programme as well as Interest badges.

Uniformed organisation for girls and young women - the Ely District supports the work of the volunteer adult leaders in providing a varied programme for the young members

The principal activity of the charity is to support education opportunities for boys and girls aged 2 to 11,

Providing Scouting activities to boys and girls aged 4-18 in the Mirfield area through Squirrel Scouts (age 4-6), Beaver Scouts (age 6-8), Cub Scouts (age 8-10.5), Scouts (age 10.5 - 14) and Explorer Scouts (age 14-17).

Support Girlguiding Rickmansworth & Chorleywood through providing finance for equipment mainly campi equipment.

Providing opportunities and training for girls and women within the framework of the Girlguiding programme

SCOUT TRAINING FOR BOYS AND GIRLS AGED 6 YEARS TO 16 YEARS IN SOUTHWOLD AND REYDON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA.

Provision of instruction, courses, musical training and a wide range of maritime activites for young people between the ages of ten and eighteen.

- The relief of people in need, in particular girls and women in India, who are socially andeconomically disadvantaged by providing them with hairdressing skills, to enable such individuals togenerate an income and to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society.- The relief of financial hardship to homeless people in the UK through the provision of free hairdressing services

The Oldham Town Mission promotes the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone in Oldham, our doors are open to all. We have services, prayer meetings and Bible study during the week and activities for younger people in our girls and boys brigades. We are a Christian fellowship who are here to help those in need of the love of Jesus and show his love to everyone.

Scouting related activities for Boys and Girls of age groups: Beavers: 6 - 8 years Cubs: 8 - 10 years Scouts: 10 - 14 years

We are all members and part of Girl Guiding UK. We give opportunities for girls to enjoy a girl lead environment for arts/crafts/homecraft skills/recreation etc. Our building and grounds provide holidays as well as weekly meetings for those in the movement age five upwards.

This year, we have continued to raise funds through the provision of refreshments at key events throughout the year, a quiz evening and the 11 plus Practice Day.

We supply a range of spiritual, mental, and physical activities for girls aged 10 to 16. This programme aims to provide the girls with the wherewithall to fulfil their potential and to take an active and responsible role in society.

We provide a balanced progressive programme of activities for boys and girls aged 6 to 14.5. We run 1 Beaver colonies, 1 Cub packs and a Scout Troop all meeting in our own hall in Tegfan Close Cardiff.
