The Unit undertakes a number of activities which are completed in groups or as individuals. We play games, build of skills for everyday living, leadership and social. The girls complete badges and work through the Girlguiding programme. The girls have many opportunities at county events, local events and residentials/camps.

Uconnect from an office in the Ministry of Education of Uganda provides elearning and training to teachers in both primary and secondary schools.Uconnect provides elearning installed on computers to girls aged 8-13 in their homes in three adjacent low income areas of DAR ES Salaam and trains these girls to be e learning agents to family and neighbors.

Supporting young people, in particular girls living in countries on the African continent providing assistance through mentoring, work experience and other activities to help them advance in life by developing the skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals.

Relief of distress amongst girls and young women primarily in the area of the former Metropolitan Borough of Hampstead and the Diocese of London. If the income is not required for the above, it may be applied along the same guidelines amongst boys and young men.

Scouting activities for boys and girls living in the Group's catchment area, which includes Coelbren, Caehopkin, Penycae and Abercrave in the Swansea Valley. The Group has a Beaver Colony, a Cub Scout Pack and a Scout troop.

Since June 2008 1,200 children have been supported to get into local education they would have other wise been denied. Sunshine contributed to their school fees, books stationary, uniforms, purchased bicycles and helped with travel costs to and from school.Young women have been supported to go on courses around beauty,hairdressing and tailor making leading to future employment opportunities.
