The main activity undertaken is to provide disabled children aged 4-11 years old with an opportunity to ride in an indoor or outdoor school in order to improve their balance, muscle tone and social skills. There is also a mechanical horse for children who, for a variety of reasons are unable to ride a pony.

The CIO promotes the objects of the Riding for the Disabled Association incorporating Carriage Driving, a charity registered under charity number 244108 ("RDA"), by providing disabled people with the opportunity to carriage drive to benefit their health and well-being.

Riding and Carriage Driving for disabled people

The Group works with children with a range of disabilities and promotes general good health and well being through interaction with the ponies, and by learning to ride them. They achieve success in riding the ponies with adult specialist training and support, which in turn builds confidence in the individual. Children improve their core balance and large motor skills.

To promote the objects of Riding for the Disabled Association incorporating Carriage Driving by providing disabled people with the opportunity to ride a horse and / or to Carriage Drive to benefit their health and well being in the Cambridgeshire area

Riding for disabled and blind children, aged 2 years - 16 years.

Enabling up to 6 adult riders to ride once a week in term time.

We teach disabled children and adults to ride, they benefit from this activity both physically & mentally.

Provide riding lessons for disabled people.

The Charity Ruddington RDA Group provides disabled people with the opportunity to ride and/or carriage drive to benefit their health and well-being.

Provide riding for disabled adults & children.

Norwich and District Group Riding for the Disabled Association provide riding opportunities and hippotherapy for children with physical, developmental or behavioural additional needs.

Riding opprtunities for children and adults with disabilities

Provision of horseriding activities for disabled and disadvantaged children.

We organise rides so that disabled people, young and old, have the opportunity to ride ponies/horses which benefit their health and well being. This all takes place in the Chard, Somerset area.

RIDING FOR THE DISABLED

We are a small group of volunteers who help disabled children ride ponies. We are a Group that comes under the Riding for The Disabled Association incorporating Carriage Driving charity. We meet once a week during the term time and help and support the children in the riding activities. We are based in North Yorkshire.

Group meets every Thursday from 10am until 12.30. We provide riding activities for children from a local special school and adults in the community. Our aim is to provide them with enjoyment, a feeling of success and to improve their co ordination skills and confidence whilst also improving their riding skills. We work with a range of disabilities. We enter national & local events & competitions.
