Pre-school playgroup providing activities for 2 -4 year old children.

The Playgroup provides pre-school education and care to local children aged between 18 months and five years of age.

Regular public services of Christian worship, including activities for youngsters, small groups in homes and church. Parents/carers toddler group and parents/carers baby group each week. Coffee mornings two days a week. Facilities are used by other charities and community groups in the town.

Gadebridge Community Centre provides 6 halls/rooms of varying sizes for many activities. A Creche (0 - 2 years) and Preschool (2 - 5 years) is available 50 weeks per year 07:30hrs to 18:00hrs Monday to Friday. Sandy Lane Pre-School currently runs 10 three-hours sessions throughout the week with a capacity of 24 places per session. Children are eligible to attend at the age of 2 years old, although they are not funded by the NEF until the age of 3. The pre-school employs 6 key workers, one of which is the Play Leader and another who serves as Deputy, as well as a SENCO.

We aim to enhance the development of children under the age of 5 in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. We work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families. We have a positive approach to what we eat and what exercises we do. We use the outside area.

Activities are planned to meet the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidelines. The areas within this are:Personal, Social and Emotional.Communication and Language.Literacy.Mathematics.Understanding the world.Physical.Expressive Arts and design.

Management of Community Centre premises for the benefit of residents in the Bearwood district so that a range of activities can be provided. The activities include sports, social and educational work. Sessions for older and young people take place including retirement groups, teenage youth activities and pre-school groups.The charity maintains close links with the local authority.

Village Halls status, for local use by local organisations. Dance Classes, drama groups, U3A, Bowls groups, Art Classes, toddler groups also used by the RVS for Luncheon Club. Hire for book club and Educational talks and lectures, H&S courses. Also available for letting for family parties, dances and fund raising activities.

The Squirrels Pre-School is an organisation that provides pre-school education for children aged 2 years - 4 years old in Canterbury. The majority of time that children spend at the pre-school is covered by Early Years funding received from Kent County Council.

Set within a Primary School, we provide education and care for children aged 2 to 4 years old. We offer 5 morning sessions a week to Pre-School aged children, and three afternoon sessions a week to children 2 to 3 years old.

We provide high quality childcare for the Colchester area. The Pre-School is based in the Greenstead Community centre. We are open 38 weeks per year.

To provide sessional pre-school education and care during term time to enhance the development of children under school age. Offer play facilities and learning in accordance with the Early years framework and Ofsted.
