The Charity offers pre-school education to children aged 2-5 years.

Pre-School education

Stepping stones pre-school playgroup is a friendly community playgroup based in the heart of Fordingbridge at the Avonway Centre. We work with the parents/carers to provide a happy, caring environment for pre-school children. We provide a full, interesting and varied educational programme.

The Charity runs a pre-school for 2-5 year olds living in the Halwill Junction area, open 30hrs per week Monday to Friday term time, providing quality childcare and education following the Statutory Framework for EYFS. Eligible children can claim Government funding (2yr targeted; universal entitlement & working entitlement). We also offer unfunded places.

We provide pre-school education in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage and hold seven pre-school sessions per week, term time for a maximum of 30 children aged 2 to 5 years. We hold coffee mornings, an Easter bonnet parade, a Christmas concert and visit a childrens soft play centre twice a year to maintain our excellent parent partnership.

Activity of the charity is delivering a free under 5?s stay and play every week day term time,with a wide range of child led activities that support both their social and educational development. All our charitable activities focus on the delivering services to children and families and are undertaken to further our charitable purposes for the public benefit.

Sunday Church services at Wormley Community Centre are open to all with children's activities provided. Tuesday Drop In provides a warm space, lunch and a chance to socialise. Wednesday Parents and Toddlers is open to the local community. We are a weekday distribution point for the local Foodbank. A member of the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion, Evangelical Alliance, and Churches Together.

Storrs Road Pre School is an Ofsted registered preschool which provides flexible childcare and preschool education for families from the local communites.We provide a welcoming family and friendly environment to a maximum of 24 children from two to school age.

We are a term time preschool offering childcare for children from age 2.5 years to statutory school age. We provide care and education within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We operate in Holcombe Brook Methodist Church & are managed by a voluntary mangement committee made up of church members and parents of children attending the preschool.

The Charity provides a Nursery school building and Teachers at the school. The Convent Chapel is used as Mass centre for the local Parish of St Mary's Alton. The Sisters visit the sick, The Convent facilities are made available to Christian formation and other teaching and retreats groups for the Diocese. They also provide assistance to sister houses of the Institute including missions abroad.

Kennford Playbox is a rural preschool on the outskirts of Exeter. Operating from a purpose built facility, the preschool creates a happy, safe, supportive and stimulating environment for all 2-4 year olds that attend. Inspected by Ofsted in 2019 and rated overall as 'Outstanding' in the welfare, behaviour and development of its children.

The Preschool aims to provide a service for the local community by providing a happy and relaxed environment for children of any culture and/or ability to learn through play.
