The objective is the education of the public in the study, practice and appreciation of the art of the recorder and its repertoire in the UK and Ireland through group playing, skilled direction, training in conducting and other skills and promotion of a Solo Recorder competition. Our activities are:1) The relief of persons injured by asbestos or who have asbestos related diseases, their families and carers and who are in need by reason of their ill health, disability' financial circumstances or other disadvantage, by providing support information, advocacy and advice.2) The education of the public about the hazards posed by asbestos and the diseases it causes

DDP works with partner organisations to help build a society where disabled and other marginalised and vulnerable people have equal social, economic and civil rights. DDP creates opportunities in education for disabled children, including deaf children, sets up socio-economic programmes and supports partner organisations to advocate for disabled people's rights and influence public policy.

The Mothers' Union works to support families both locally and worldwide by fulfilling our aims and objects. Work is undertaken by members who are involved in social policy issues and who raise funds to support our overseas work. On a local level our members offer practical support to families in Lancashire and throughout the Anglican Communion.

The Charity's activities support people who have experienced baby loss during pregnancy, at birth or in infancy and those journeying infertility. This is fulfilled by providing online and befriender support, counselling, resources, education, training, advocacy and Global Remembrance Events (240 to end of 2024), as well as campaigning for improvements in clinical care and support.

The trustees operate a grant giving policy, providing funds for such charitable object or instituions as the trustees think fit.

The charity delivers programmes to encourage and develop the use of drawing both by the general public and by professionals. The annual Big Draw is a month-long season of drawing events in October across the UK. The Power Drawing: Professional Development Programme shares with educators what the charity has learnt about the purposes and uses of drawing as an aid to learning.

NATE was founded in 1963 to provide a forum for development of modern approaches to English teaching in schools. NATE continues to promote this message about English, developing and encouraging innovative and reflective approaches appropriate to the contemporary classroom, reporting to teachers on developments in policy, practice and research, and giving an independent voice to the profession.

BISI is dedicated to advancing research and public education about Iraq in the areas of the arts, humanities and social sciences. The charity's activities include: giving grants to support research and outreach projects; publishing the journal IRAQ and texts on Iraq's history and culture; arranging public lectures and study days; and a Visiting Iraqi Scholarship Programme.
