To advance the education of adults in the Bristol area, in literacy. We work on a 1:1 basis, with the Coach/Reader pair meeting twice each week. All Coaches are volunteers and are trained in the phonics method. All reading materials are provided for the Reader, at no cost to him/her. There is no time limit within which the Reader has to achieve a certain standard of literacy.

We help young people discover their creative potential and use it to empower and advance themselves and their communities, promote equitable cultural exchange, build tolerance, fight poverty, restore confidence amongst the disenfranchised and heighten self-determination.

The Northavon Singers is a mixed voice (4-part) choir, performing two to three public concerts per year, in addition to a number of local events such as Christmas Carol concerts for local residential and nursing homes and ad hoc events on request. Some profits are donated to local and national charities, as and when viable. The choir has approximately 15 members.
