The charity is a branch of The Westrern Front Association, a UK-based international organisation formed in 1981 to remember those of all sides who fought in the Great War (1914-1918) and to encourage research into that period. The Western Front Association is non-political and membership is open to those of all nationalities and religious persuasions.

In 1643 Nicholas Almond left land known as Poors Moor to the people of Cuddington, income from which was given as financial and practical help to poor people in Cuddington. The role of the Charity has now changed somewhat, and the income derived from selling the grazing of Poors Moor is now used for grants to young people of Cuddington who may need help with their further education.

IT SUPPORTED ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND SUSTAINABILITY IN THE COUNTY OF BUCKINGHAMSHIRE THROUGH IMPROVING CURRICULAR, EDUCATIONAL AND INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE SHORTENILLS ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTRE, CHALFONT ST GILES. THE CENTRE CEASED TO OFFER RESIDENTIAL EDUCATION IN 2019 AND DURING THE PANDEMIC BECAME AN EDUCATION FACILITY UNCONNECTED TO SUSTAINABILITY.
