General Charitable Work within Town Boundary

The objects of the CIO are to establish and run a Community and Heritage Centre to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of, and visitors to, the Parish of Croglin and the neighborhood through provision of facilities for recreation and understanding of the Fellside Community

Provides grant assistance to inhabitants of or organisations operating solely in Appleby In Westmorland in order to improve or beautify the town.

Toddler Group for mother and toddlers

Distributing an amount of money annually agreed by the Trustees to six poor and elderly people living in Lyth, near Kendal.

Upkeep of Recreational Ground on behalf of the villagers of Culgaith.

Funding needy applicants and educational support

Provision of Open Space and one swing

We give support to fellow Brothers and their dependants in time of need. We donate money to support local charities and educational groups.

CRAFTS AND COOKERY INFORMATION/INSTRUCTIONS/DEMONSTRATIONSMEETINGS WITH TALKS BY LOCAL SPEAKERS TO GIVE INFORMATION

We have had a joiner install 'protectors' surrounding 2 valuable paintings to protect them from any wilful damage whilst on display in the Beacon Museum, Whitehaven, Cumbria. We are members of BAFM and local History Groups and invite and pay for Lectures at The Beacon Museum.

TO PROVIDE A COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR FRIENDSHIP AND EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE. WE HAVE SERIES OF VARIOUS SPEAKERS, DEMONSTRATIONS AND DAYS OUT. FREQUENT OPEN MEETINGS ARE ARRANGED FOR NON MEMBERS.

To advance the education of the public, including children, young people and adults, in the subject of climbing and walking.

Duties appertaining to a Village Hall serving all parishioners in the Nether Denton Parish

Charity donates an income from rent of 2 fields and also from donations. Charity donates to environmental projects in the village of Little Strickland and responds to requests for funds to support village improvements. The charity would respond to requests to relieve hardship or poverty.

Supports community's village halls & activities.

Hosting fund raising functions to buy essential equipment, and contribute towards the cost of building and repair costs at school.

To invest funds and to distribute income for the general benefit if the inhabitants of the parish of Crosthwaite and Lyth.

To give discretionary grants to applicants who live in the village of Watermillock Cumbria and who have left secondary education and entered further education or training.

Provides weekly recorded news tapes of local news from the Whitehaven News newspaper to the visually impaired within our local area.

The charity is run by people from business and the public sector, bringing their skills together for free to facilitate fundraising to help change lives and break cycles of deprivation, thus improving the life chances of disadvantaged children.We achieve this by using the funds to improve access to High Borrans for children who for whatever reason may be unable to go under normal circumstances.

The Trustees shall apply the clear income of the Charity in promoting the education (including social and physical training) of persons under the age of 25 years who are in need of financial assistance and who, or whose parents, are resident in Kirkby Stephen.

PLAY GROUP UNDER FIVES

Providing a playgroup for mothers, babies and toddlers from the surrounding district.

To maintain the graves of John Garner, James Garner, Eleanor Postlethwaite Garner and Hannah Garner, also such charitable purpose for the benefit of the Parish of Broughton.
