Playing brass band music. Giving concerts. Training young and new players. Supporting and representing our community in Cumbria. Although, we have been unable to function as a full band of 26 players during the last two years, we are currently operating as a small ensemble and have some engagements coming up in the next few months.

The Jubilee Playing Field can be used by all ages & sexes of the community for recreation.

For the public benefit to promote affordable and accessible education of international GCSE equivalent standard in Pakistan in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including by: 1) Awarding scholarships to pupils based on academic ability and financial need 2) In the long term, establishing an institution to deliver such education

CHRITABLE EVENTS HELD BY THE MAYOR OF THE BOROUGH

Donations to charities within the parish of Raughton Head.

The trustees hold the property for the purposes of a museum and a centre for education.

Educational Grants: Small sums of money for the purchase of books for secondary school students in the ecclesiastical parish of Addingham Cumbria.

The promotion of health through education, access to medical facilities, acquisition and provision of medical equipment, research and the provision of healthcare for the benefit of the public

Management of Threlkeld Village Hall

Holding an open space for the use of residents of the civil parish of Mallerstang.

Raising funds for a new health and well being facility

Fundraising for Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale

The Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association is the umbrella body for the 12 rescue teams in Cumbria (UK). Its function is to represent the interests of and speak on behalf of the 12 rescue teams in the Lake District.

PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH OFFSITE / OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Working with educational establishment to produce financial help in maintenance and improvement with structure and facilities.

KAIROS Companions in Grief is A Bereavement Counselling & Support Service for Bereaved People throughout Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham. It offers (a) a specialist one-to-one bereavement counselling service; (b) specialist therapeutic bereavement support groups; (c) organisational bereavement advisory service; (d) from 2013, counselling service for bereaved children.

The object of the charity is for the public benefit of the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Cumbria, (comprising the areas governed by the unitary authorities of Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Councils), by the provision of facilities for playing amateur and competitive tennis.

Recreational use

General fund raising for maintainance and upkeep of village hall. Used by local school, parish council and individuals.
