The Glasson Community Association was formed to provide for the inhabitants of Glasson and the neighbourhood, by association with these inhabitants and local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort. Facilities for recreation and leisure time activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

The Fellside Trust has the purpose of providing opportunities for education in healthcare and the arts to the general public and the local community.

The object of the charity is for the public benefit of the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Cumbria, (comprising the areas governed by the unitary authorities of Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Councils), by the provision of facilities for playing amateur and competitive tennis.

We currently support other charities working in the Christian field of discipling and training

To advance healthy recreation and physical education of children andyoung people up to the age of 19 in Copeland and the surrounding areathrough the playing of, and coaching in, rugby league football

The relief of expectant and nursing mothers resident in the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness who are in conditions of need, hardship, or distress. Any income not required for this purpose may be applied in relieving, in cases of need, pre-school age children who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm.

We are a small friendly group who meet once a month to talk over any relevant topics and help with advice and information. We??? have regular meetings.??? provide a 24 hour support network for each other and families with newly diagnosed children and adults. ??? offer specialist training to professionals and parents.??? write our own literature.??? raise public awareness.

KAIROS Companions in Grief is A Bereavement Counselling & Support Service for Bereaved People throughout Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham. It offers (a) a specialist one-to-one bereavement counselling service; (b) specialist therapeutic bereavement support groups; (c) organisational bereavement advisory service; (d) from 2013, counselling service for bereaved children.
