To provide grants to promote the conservation protection and improvement to the physical and natural environment in Breedon, Tonge & Wilson and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare.

Alfreton's Party in the Park is set up to provide for the benefit of the inhabitants of Alfreton and surrounding areas, with the object of improving their conditions by providing an opportunity for key community groups to get involved in social events that encourages local schools, youth groups, and the creative talent and energy of all people within the town and surrounding villages.

Collection and shipment of football boots to children in Africa.

To care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. Where possible all animals are released back into the wild as soon as they are fully recovered or old enough to fend for themselves. If they are healthy but for whatever reason cannot be released we will care for them at the sanctuary or find them a safe suitable environment. We have 3 ponds, 40+ indoor cages, 30+ outdoor aviaries and enclosures.

Providing additional facilities for Ashbrook Infant & Nursery School over and above that possible within the school budget. These facilities are of benefit to all the children at the school.

The object of the society is the education of the public in the various arts & sciences connected with the horse & pony, and the use & management thereof, and the society may help & encourage riding, breeding & the general welfare of horses & ponies in Derbyshire.

Maintenance and upkeep of Burial Ground

We now engage the wider community extending our activities in the area of improving the environment in Temple Normanton. We recently involved the whole school in planting 12,000 spring bulbs in the woodland area situated in the centre of the community. This activity included the involvement of the school and the PC. We plan to further enhance and improve woodland area making it accessible to all.

Springwell Parents, Friends and Teachers Associatin is a group of people who raise funds and support the College whilst having fun! Every Springwell student benefits from the funds that we raise. Each year we hold different events, but some favourites include: Fashion Shows, Bingo Evenings, Christmas Fayre, Treasure Hunts, Race Nights, Beetle Drives and Summer Fayre
