A GARDEN OF REST FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE OF HOLSWORTHY

We provide weekly drop-in facilities for people with disabilities, to provide advice and guidance about welfare rights matters. We provide training, either in groups, or one-to-one, in, use of computers, healthy eating, and other skills which enable people to live independently.We provide outings and events; we help people with any task or meeting they wish to attend.

The advancement of the Christian faith worldwide through the ministry of communities of Christians whose shared lives in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit communicate the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.

Charity currently engaged in drawing up lease with Lyn Town Council to take over the Town Hall. Chairity has recruited 7 more trustees and will be opening its membership at a public meeting in March 2019 at Lynton Town Hall (date to be confirmed). Charity aspirations and future projects to be made public on that date. Service agreement with Council awaited.

Management of playing field

Dawlish Arts Festival holds an annual week long festival in the spring and occasional concerts or other events during the year. The festival is primarily music, but also includes drama, poetry and literature. It seeks to bring to the town nationally known performers as well as show case the best local choirs and instrumentalists. It caters for a large variety of tastes.

To hold Blackmore Recreation Ground for the benefit of residents and visitors to Sidmouth and the neighbourhood.

Woodside provides sanctuary for most types of unwanted pets. None are destroyed unless beyond veterinary help or dangerous. Elderly and sick animals receive care for life if necessary. A pioneering spay and neuter programme is in operation and, funds permitting, welfare officers visit deprived areas to assist responsible ownership. All adopted animals are taken back if they can no longer be kept.

The Charity promotes educational advancement and develop individual capabilities through the understanding of Shakespeare plays and other playwrights, it provides a platform for amateur actors, offers educational workshops, and supports young people with recreational activities to enhance their appreciation of the arts..

Girl Guide & Brownie Activities

The objects of the CIO are to promote the history, preservation, maintenance, renovation, and repair of the Tiverton Town Leat and associated structures from its origin at Norwood Common, through the village of Chettiscombe, into and through the town of Tiverton, in Mid-Devon, for the benefit of local people and the general public.
