The Trust helps people who are, under 40, suffering from a physical disability, keen on sport and want to compete in the Paralympics or other national and international sporting competitions, but are in need of financial assistance to do this.Funds have been raised by sponsored bike rides and walks, charity lunches, company sponsors, donations and grants.

Sidmouth Hospiscare provides a 24 hour on call service by professional nurses for terminally ill patients as well as support for carers/relatives of the terminally ill in the Sidmouth catchment area.

1 Volunteers have visited many landowners to open up new sites for educational gold panning2 We have participated in a diamond jubilee project, although the details are to be confidential3 We have developed a better understanding of ancient & obscure laws relating to gold mining and gold panning4 We plan to make jewellery using unrefined Welsh gold, to help promote further mineral research

We are a PTFA group with the sole purpose of raising additional funds for our school for playground equipment ect.

The Society operates 5 youth/junior string ensembles in 2 Devon locations. Regular rehearsals develop both group musician skills and the confidence for public performance. Public concerts - often performed unconducted & without musical scores - create public awareness of the art & science of youth music.

SAHFOS manages the Continuous Plankton Recorder Survey which is a long-term marine plankton monitoring programme. It is the longest and most geographically extensive marine biological survey in the world that contains a unique dataset of marine biodiversity and provides a wide range of environmental and climatic indicators. SAHFOS operates globally out of Devon.

The stated object of the Museum is to collect, care for and display artefacts, documents and other material (including our world famous collection of Honiton Lace) which has relevance to Honiton, its surrounding district and its inhabitants. Its principal aim is to make the collection available and accessible to the public, thus giving an insight into the history of the local area.
