The Villages Music Festival held a successful 8 day Festival from 1-9 July 2023 with performances of music of different genres, given by both amateur and professional musicians . Surplus funds from the Festival will be offered as grants to local music and arts organisations in November 2023.

Research into cardiac disease.

Development of the courses for Christian Disciples that form the basis of the Genuine Imitation materials. Making financial donations to others in order to help in some small way those in poverty or under personal threat to their safety who are known to the Trust.

We are a social club where members with special needs and learning difficulties can relax, chill out and learn some social skills. Volunteers interact with members and they also help to raise funds for outings during the summer and for the annual visit to the pantomime at Christmas. We try to bring a wide range of entertainment to the club from Morris Dancers to making bird feeders.

To improve The Braybrooke Ward by association with local authorities, voluntary organisations and residents by campaigning on issues affecting the quality of life and encouraging environmental improvements.

Womens Group meetings

Supplies speakers and research help to schools, presents monthly displays and lectures, holds an annual exhibition, collects and researches information and material on local area. Produces publications on related topics. Co-operates with local authority on conservation areas and preservation of the built and natural environment.

Providing free educational advice.Organising monthly gatherings, Chinese festive events.Providing English language and cultural awareness training opportunities for people of Chinese origins.Providing Chinese language and cultural awareness training courses for non-Chinese people. Chinese Day at schools, After-school Chinese Clubs have been established around East and West Sussex.

SEAFORD LIFEGUARDS ARE A VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION WHO PATROL SEAFORD BEACH WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS FROM 1ST MAY TO 30TH SEPTEMBER. THEY ALSO MONITOR THE BYELAWS FOR LEWES DISTRICT COUNCIL, INCLUDING SPEEDING BOATS WITHIN THE SWIMMING AREA AND DOG FOULING. THEY ENDEAVOUR TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS BY VIGILANT OBSERVATIONS AND WARNING OF THE DANGERS OF THE SHELVING SEA.

Provides help for the needy in the parish of Wadhurst

Our activities includes:Preaching the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through Crusades/Bible teaching serminars/-conferences and reaching out to the poor/needy in the United Kingdom and the world over.

We are restoring to running order the last Brighton passenger tram car left in the world. We are currently rebuilding the body and have now started to tackle the electrics. We own a truck and other electrical components. We allow public access to the tram and we display frequently at shows to raise money and to educate people about this project and also have a second Brighton tram, works car 1.

General charitable purposes. Overseas aid/famine relief.

Donation of grants to people between ages of 15 and 25 for educational or training purposes

The Charity provides a 24 hours a day radio service to patients in Eastbourne District General Hospital via the in house Hospedia service and more widely on the internet. The programmes include music, national news and items of more local interest as well as health and wellbeing matters, particularly of interest to users and potential users of the hospitals services.

Recital opportunities offered for young professional classical musicians.

Help and support for homeless youth in the UK and in Uganda. Practical help is given by volunteers to individuals and families with children under immediate threat of homelessness. Grants and/or loans may be made and the Charity currently provides financial support for a children's home in southern Uganda with approx. 30 residents.

Gives aid to Christian scientists in need of nursing and or pastoral care either within East & West Sussex or living within 40 miles of Brighton. In addition we give financial support to Christian science nurses living within 40 miles of Brighton for training purposes.

THE OYSTER PROJECT IS A MEMBER LED DISABLED & OLDER PERSONS SELF-HELP CHARITY FOUNDED AND RUN BY DISABLED PEOPLE.THE MAJORITY OF OUR TRUSTEES AND ALL CORE PROJECT DELIVERERS ARE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND/OR ELDERLY.WE PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS TO VOLUNTEER IN MEANINGFUL ACTIVITIES, DEVELOPED & SUPPORTED BY EACH OTHER. THE CHARITY HOLDS THE QUEEN'S AWARD FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICE.

To raise and utilise funds for the renovation and improvement of the fabric, decoration and furnishings of Priory School Chapel in Lewes. To promote and protect the Chapel as a war memorial (UKNIWM 61304) to the 55 former pupils who died in service during WW2. To promote the significance and the use of the Chapel to the pupils of Priory School and the people of Lewes.

Raising funds for Sedlescombe C of E School.

The activities of the charity are: book club, coffee mornings, outings. Monthly Meetings with educational talks and a social time.

Help suitable boys as part of their education and with a view to character building through sea training. Help young people as part of their education to extend their knowledge of other nations. Help poor and deserving young people to get a good start in life. Provide additional comforts for elderly people in distressed financial circumstances.

The provision of financial assistance towards the maintenance and development of the University of Brighton. The creation of scholarships or bursaries or prizes to be awarded to students or members of staff at the University of Brighton. The promotion of research and the dissemination of the useful results of such research.
