Established for the 'relief and support of maimed and disabled seamen connected with the town and port of Rye and the widows and children of such seamen as shall be slain or drowned in the merchant service'.Also assisted:a) those people working on the seas who live in the town/port of Rye, who are injured/disabledb) seamen injured/disabled otherwise than at sea

The Charity gives grants to help young people, disabled & able bodied.

The touring of nostalgic drama and entertainment to residential & nursing homes, day centres, sheltered accommodation, hospices,village halls, and theatres. The programme encourages participation by an elderly and infirm audience base. An outreach programme serving primary and secondary schools & colleges.Further outreach work with visually impaired people using drama as an empowering tool.

To offer inclusive coaching and competitive opportunities in Association Football, promote football for disabled people within the local community, ensure a duty of care to all members of the club and ensure that all present and future members receive fair and equal treatment.

Janes Wish is a local charitable organisation with the purpose of organising and funding days out and activities for children affected by cancer in Sussex. We hope to enrich thousands of young lives and bring a smile to those who need it most.

We provide: - Information. Subsidised social events for all the family. Friendly open minded support. Regular committee meetings - all welcome.

Provision of Cricket, Football, Stoolball and other Field Sports

We are working to erect a statue of suffragette Mary Clarke in Brighton as a symbol of democracy and women's rights. We provide talks, information and exhibitions, all with the aim of raising awareness of the suffragettes' role in furthering democracy and equal rights for women. We work with the City Council, women's and community groups, businesses and trade unions. We have all-party support.
