The trustees manage and maintain Privett Village Hall for the benefit of the local community. They organise several events each year which enable villagers to meet socially in this scattered rural area. The hall is also let to a nursery school and provides a venue for other local associations to meet such as the Horticultural Society and regular sporting activities.

A confidential Counselling Service in Eastleigh and the surrounding areas including Southampton to all those over the age of 18 who are in need of non -judgmental emotional support. To promote understanding of both physical and mental well-being.

Scouting - Beavers, Cubs and Scout sections.As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week the 8th Aldershot (Church of Ascension) Scout Group gives young people of Aldershot and the surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy fun an adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

To provide an opportunity for anyone to learn to play a musical instrument, to supply free of charge instruments, music, tuition and practice areas and to enable people to play as part of a band. To provide musical entertainment by way of public and fee paying concerts for all who wish to attend and to support other local charities, churches and Homes with fund raising and other activities.

ADVANCING, PROMOTING AND ENCOURAGING THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF THE ARTS OF MUSIC, DANCE, SPEECH, LITERATURE AND ACTING, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE ORGANISATION OF FESTIVALS IN ALDERSHOT AND FARNBOROUGH.

Local Fund Raising

We aim to inspire Hampshire residents and visitors of all ages & from all communities to learn about history and heritage by providing free Heritage Open Days events every September in and around Winchester, an annual festival of history that offers a range of activities for the whole community, and free and low cost history and heritage educational projects such as 'Hampshire HistBites'.

Promotes decorative arts activities through workshops, lectures and exhibitions.

Education/ training

To help relieve poverty amongst people in undeveloped areas of the world by the provision of refurbished tools and equipment, sending these via other charities and organisations that have the in-country contacts to ensure they reach those most in need.

Scout Group

To support development of rural education in Mityana Uganda by providing new or improved facilities in schools. To encourage the growth of the local economy in Mtyana by providing financial assistance to establish or build small businesses. To increase understanding and relationships between the people of Hampshire and the people of Mityana

We have held various events such as cake sales, discos, summer and Christmas fairs, as well as collecting clothes to recycle and running a school lottery. Funds raised are used for experiences for the pupils and resources for the school.
