BKLT was formed to raise awareness of Lupus and support research into the causes, treatment and cure of lupus. Since establishment it has made giant strides in raising awareness of lupus. Despite acute funding problems BKLT have continued to make donations towards research.The Trustees remain resolute in pursuit of the charity's aims and objectives. We hope to give an improved performance report.

We work with locals to relieve the suffering caused by poverty in the African Countries, and to promote and protect the physical well-being of the people affected by poverty.This is done through the implementation of different projects for practical provisions i.e. clinics, counselling, workshop and support education

Prevention or relief of poverty in africa by providing or assisting projects in education, training, healthcare, water and housing and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate sustainable income and be self-sufficient. We also advance the Christian faith by providing materials and facilitating seminars.

The charity's activities are to fund and help manage the building of orphanages, schools, housing for the elderly and medical facilities. The charity will raise its funds through charitable donations and fund raising events.

Our mission is to work with others to protect and monitor lion populations in the wild. We work to raise funds for four different lion conservation organisations based in Kenya and Tanzania who work alongside local communities to protect, monitor and study wild lions. We also work with zoos to educate their visitors and maintain a website full of educational material specifically about lions.

Working with local organisations we help the poor to obtain plant foods for direct consumption, water supplies, and other basic essentials. We try to foster self-sufficiency. We support orphanages. We never supply animal foods or live animals and work at home and abroad to create awareness of the benefits of using plant foods direct instead of processing them inefficiently through farm animals.

We provide funding to activities in the poorest nations and communities of the world, especially those benefiting marginalised groups such as children, women, and the disabled. We work through organisations who are formally equipped and trained to empower these groups. We work only with those initiatives with which we have a personal connection, and do not respond to unsolicited requests.

General charitable Purposes

1. Provide surgery to children with disabilities in various African countries2. Train African doctors as pediatric surgeons through an accredited medical training program (COSECSA)3. Provide rehabilitation therapy to 300 primary students at the Joytown School for the Physically Handicapped in Thika, Kenya4. Operate Mobile Clinics in 14 centres around Kenya to identify children for surgery

We raise funds from school and community event initiatives that promote our charities work in Africa. We share educational opportunities and learning resources with our partner School, Sunrise Academy in Kenya.We also help them to improve their physical environments such as buildings and equipment. We plan to start a pupil sponsorship scheme later this year.

To provide bespoke wheelchairs and other mobility aids to those people who the charity think will benefit most

Conservation, protection and improvement of wetlands in western Kenya, in particular but not exclusively, the Saiwa Swamp ecosystem and surrounding area.Advancement of education for children living in the Saiwa Swamp ecosystem and surrounding area, in particular but not exclusively, at Kipsaina Primary School, by improving the physical learning environment and promoting environmental awareness.
