Promote the sport of rowing for the community in the area of Gateshead

To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation and protection of seals in the North East of England and throughout the UK through rescue, treatment, rehabilitation and release back into the wild.

To provide community facilities for the residents of West Allotment and the surrounding area.

The charity was formed for the purposes of providing financial and practical support to the Oriental Museum (which is part of the University of Durham) and to inform members about all aspects of the history, culture etc. of the Orient (through lectures, events, etc.).

Local Scouting

To arrange and provide for the holding of exibitions, shows, meetings, bingos, youth club, mother and toddler.

To provide a building for use by scouts/ guides/ and the youth of the parish

MCDF supports a number of projects which come under the following headings:Health Enterprise Education Scouting Community We rely entirely on volunteers and fundraising to support our work. The work of MCDF is managed by unpaid Trustees based in the UK and Uganda.

Develop and improve facilities for the use of members and the general public. Continue our present successful youth development policy.

Durham Anglican Cursillo is afiliated to British Anglican Cursillo Council (BACC) and operates the Cursillo method within the diocese of Durham and Newcastle. Established church members are invited to attend Cursillo weekends at which they are encouraged to grow in the christian faith through prayer and study and action. After the weekend, participants are encouraged to join a reunion group.

To maintain a Museum collection. The collection is currently incorporated with the Newcastle Discovery Museum, operated by Tyne & Wear Museums, with whom the Trustees have a Loan Agreement.

Tyneside A Cappella is an amateur chorus which meets weekly to learn and develop their musical knowledge and to perform in the local and wider area for a variety of charities and good causes.

M.A.S. is a local history society that presents a series of lectures, outings and an annual exhibitiion.It is also actively trying to establish a local museum/heritage centre based on The Society's own collection.

The provision of rescue boats and crews for any event on water, at sea or inland.Crews can be aged from 14.All assignment crews have RYA Powerboat certificates.

The Trust is currently for the benefit of such employees or former employees of the Charles Clay & Sons Limited as shall for the time being be in poor or necessitous circumstances

To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Burradon and Camperdown and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and

Prevention or relieve of poverty among people from Sudan living in Newcastle and the North East. The provision of recreational and leisure time activities in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit. The advancement of education and training in Arabic, religion and Sudanese culture. The advancement of health and quality of life through the provision of information,

Dunston Silver Band is a brass band based in Dunston in Gateshead, which performs in the Second Section in the North of England area. We rehearse twice-weekly and perform regularly at local events, concerts and contests. We also run a youth band, and through this offer free tuition, fun educational activities and use of instruments to any individual wishing to learn to play.

Orchestral playing

To provision of Advice sessions, drop in, AA, Socials for those isolated in the community. Store n Go where items are stored for those homeless. or are evicted. A group of parents who plan family activities organize event and raise funds. Open Mon - Saturday 10 30 til 12 30. Run entirely by volunteers from the community on behalf of the community.
