Breast Cancer Care is the UK's leading provider of information, practical assistance and emotional support for anyone affected by breast cancer. All our services are free and provided by specialist staff alongside trained volunteers who have had or been closely affected by breast cancer. We are also committed to campaigning for better treatment and support for people with breast cancer.

The charity's aim is to provide information in reply to any question on any cancer. Note that this is now undertaken in the name of Macmillan Cancer Support, with which Cancerbackup merged in 2008.

The trustees/ volunteers are delivering education-based initiatives to the ArmedForces community, to relieve social disadvantage. The trustees are furtherpromoting the advancement of education of the public in military mental healthrisk factors and supporting agencies.

Epistemic aims to ensure that all young people in the UK, regardless of their geographical location, have the opportunity to engage with professionals working in STEM in order to inspire and encourage them to pursue STEM careers. We do this by providing a free service connecting schools and youth groups directly to STEM professionals via a virtual platform.

The Silver Line is a unique national service that provides three key functions to support older people:1. a signposting service to link them into the many and varied services that exist around the country;2. a friendship service to combat loneliness; and 3. a means of empowering those who may be suffering abuse and neglect and, if appropriate, transferring them to specialist services.

The Dresden Trust builds bridges of friendship and cooperation between the people of Britain and Dresden following the destruction of the historic centre by British bombing in 1945. Having pursued reconciliation in the 30 years since its foundation, the Trust cooperates with Dresden in school exchanges, youth learning projects, culture, conferences and enhancement of public spaces.

The charity provides access worldwide, and free of charge, to databases of genealogical information, develops tools to support community transcription of historical documents and promotes making family and wider history records available under open data formats.

We support disabled students studying in the UK in further or higher education or training towards employment. Our grants help cover additional costs many students need to incur as a result of their disability, including human support, equipment, specialist software or extra accommodation costs. We also fund a small number of Masters scholarships for exceptional future leaders.

Patient support group with focus on improving awareness of scleroderma, facilitating contact between scleroderma sufferers and funding medical and scientific research into scleroderma.

Funds are raised primarily through Christmas card sales made by the publisher Phoenix Trading (up to 2017) and since then by the publisher Flamingo Paperie. Direct sellers associated with Flamingo Paperie Limited (and previously Phoenix Trading) have a long and successful history of helping charities and good causes raise money by supporting fundraising events.
