The objects of the CIO are the establishment and maintenance of a swimming pool, sports hall and such other sporting, recreational and community facilities as the Trustees consider appropriate from time-to-time for the public benefit and, in particular, for (but not limited to) the inhabitants of Southwell and district with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

The charity exists in order to reduce the risks inherent in driving on public roads. This is achieved by improving driver education and skills, thus improving road safety and hopefully reducing the number of accidents and deaths on the road.
