Change Makers is a volunteer lead group raising awareness of cancer signs and symptoms to 'hard to reach' communities with the greatest need in Nottingham City. They encourage people to seek early health advice and treatment which ultimately saves lives. They use interactive and fun ways to take a very serious message to the public, such as leaflets, games, quizzes, visual and audio dramas.

Avery Place Care Home also provides specialist care for young people with physical disabilities. The charity is a recreation ground and provides a place of recreation for the inhabitants of the Parish and neighbourhood of Oxton. The Parish Council are the trustees and the charity has no funds of its own.

The object of the Trust is to establish and maintain leisure facilities for the inhabitants of Southwell and district. The Trustees seek to achieve this objective through the operation of Southwell Leisure Centre

Land held by the Trust includes a car park, outdoor sports facilities, a bowls pavilion, and a visitor centre, hosting four different organisations who utilise the facilities. The Trustee works with the voluntary organisations to provide and maintain the facilities and recreation grounds for the communities of Teversal, Stanton Hill, Skegby and surrounding area.
