Upkeep of Westcote Barton Parish Church and its work in the parish

The Trust has ensured the safekeeping of funds raised by Abingdon Town Amateur Boxing Club for shared community sports facilities. The Trust began distributing funds for sport in Abingdon in 2021/22. In September 2022 the boxing club was relaunched and the trust helped the relaunch. Plans are now progressing for a new sports hall and the trust will consider using funds for that purpose.

Provide and assist in the provision of facilities for education at the college, and engage in activities which support the college and advance the education of the students attending it. In addition the activities include supporting groups linked with the college as long as their activities are for the advancement of knowledge to students attending the college.

Give grants to elderly people in Appleford

Most of our funds are either raised through holding coffee mornings or donations. We then distribute to elderly people (residing in Woodstock) at Christmas, in the form of vouchers, e.g. Co-Op food vouchers. Occasionally we will make a donation to the local almshouses & elderly residential community sheltered housing.
