The Charity aims to advance education in music for the public benefit of disadvantaged young people between the ages of 5 to 19 years in and around Bucks, Herts, Oxon, in particular, but not exclusively, by the provision of grants in order to learn a musical instrument and the loan of an instrument whom the Charity feels will benefit from an education in music.

Dorcas International works with partners in Africa who work with disadvantaged people to enable them to improve their health and livelihoods, maintain a healthy and independent life and keep their children in school. It does not give grants to other organisations and unsolicited applications may not receive a response.

Passed activities are to organised School Trips, Boys youth club. cultural events.drama.we are running a Bangla Language school run by three teachers every Sunday.

The charity raises funds to improve facilities for disabled and disadvantaged sailors at Farmoor Reservoir. The initial project to be funded is a stable pontoon with wheelchair ramps and an electric lift so that less able sailors can get to their boats, and if necessary be hoisted into their boats. The facility for disadvantaged sailors is open to sailors over a wide area.

Raising funds to assist in major projects carried out to sustain St Mary's Church, a Grade 1 Listed building, a worship space for the Church of England and the URC. It is also used extensively as a performing arts venue and supports programmes for young people. Money is raised from a range of external funds and its own local fundraising.
