Our Village Hall provides premises in which a wide variety of community groups can meet from senior citizens to parent with young children. The Committee also arranges a number of community events to bring together the community in the Village Hall.

The Charity receives income from various sources including copyright payments and investment income and makes grants to Mansfield College in support of theology teaching, and awards bursaries and scholarships to students.

The provision of a free, confidential and impartial information service to all individuals, including - Local Services, Communications, travel and transport and Leisure and Tourism information. Organising practical help for the elderly and disabled through our recruited team of local volunteers under the auspices of our "Good Neighbour Scheme".

Fosters and promotes the study and publication of local history in Oxfordshire. Publishes a regular news bulletin and an occasional journal and organises two study days a year. Acts as an umbrella organisation for parish and other local history groups. Makes occasional small grants to individuals and organisations to facilitate the study of Oxfordshire local history.

The Settlement supports a range of Charities. In particular charities known personally by the current or former trustees and those dear to Richard Early. Only charities need apply; individuals or students raising funds for goodwill trips will not be considered.

Funds are used primarily to support evangelical Christian church and missionary activities and organisations by way of outright gifts and interest-free loans.

Monthly business meetings are held to organised events for the welfare of serving personnel, members of the Royal Air Forces Association, and families.

WVC provides services such as transport to medical facilities (hospital, dentist & optician appointments) and to and from social/educational opportunities.

We currently provide a playing field for the whole community. We have focused our fundraising efforts on improving the play equipment for older children, creating a youth area to supplement the small childrens play area.Our focus for 2008 onwards will be to provide a multi sports facility for the community, to include football, cricket, tennis and many more.

Alvescot Village Association is a small West Oxon charity which gives grants to formally constituted organisations which provide public benefit to people who live, work or study in Alvescot. Its four charitable purposes undertaken in local facilities include the advancement of health, play and amateur sport, community and school education, culture and arts, and religion and heritage.
