Gafcon UK is the local expression of the global Anglican movement known as Gafcon. The trust provides grants, prizes and other funding to support the education of post-graduate students from around the world in subjects relating to energy, petroleum, mineral and natural resources law and policy, primarily at the University of Dundee's Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy.

Main area of interest lies with the arts, in general and in education. Students are the Trust's priority area, and performing arts (dance, drama, music) are favoured, although other arts areas will be considered. Applications with a Yorkshire or regional focus are welcomed.

We are currently very actively engaged in establishing our new Yoruba UK Central Office systems, administration, training our volunteer workers, members and staff, including running the initial projects to set up a Yoruba governing body that will serve those in need, our beneficiaries, users, members, communities and the public.

The ACWRT (UK) organises events relating to the study of the American Civil War, publishes a magazine about the War 3 times per year, as well as a regular e-bulletin, and maintains a website with useful information and sources about the War. ACWRT (UK) also contributes towards the preservation of sites or artefacts associated with the War, mostly in the USA.

The study, recording and preservation of information and other material relating to tiles and architectural ceramics by way of education and guidance. We publish an annual academic journal and a less formal magazine. We arrange meetings, visits, lectures and similar activities both for members and the public. We encourage and provide information for conservation and artistic endeavour.
