General Wellbeing

Feed the Birds is a nature-focused befriending programme aimed at people over 18 experiencing loneliness or social isolation. Trained volunteers visit once a week to provide and maintain a bird feeding station and to chat with their client. Founded in 2016 by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, Feed the Birds became a stand alone charity in May 2024.

1 Volunteers have visited many landowners to open up new sites for educational gold panning2 We have participated in a diamond jubilee project, although the details are to be confidential3 We have developed a better understanding of ancient & obscure laws relating to gold mining and gold panning4 We plan to make jewellery using unrefined Welsh gold, to help promote further mineral research

We encourage disabled sport, and take part in sport for disabled athletes.

Rent allotments in Gresford to local residents of Gresford, Marford or Rosset.

The Rainbow Foundation is an active ageing charity working to improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our communities through a range of interventions and services which; promote independence, participation and self-care, address the determinants of active ageing, promote better health and wellbeing, reduce fraility, loneliness and isolation, and provide services closer to home.
