Various fund raising events are held and all the funds are returned to the school to enable them to provide enhanced activities for example, Christmas pantomime, books, cookery equipment etc.

Fundraising is a major part of our activities and directly contributes to the improvement of the school, and in turn, benefits all of the children within the school. We provide a way to build the whole school community, including links with the wider society, all of which benefits the school and offers a positive influence within the local area.

Our PTFA plays a leading role in the community and organises numerous fundraising events throughout the year, our two largest events are the Summer Fair and Christmas Fair. The Scarecrow Trail is also a popular annual village event. All profits are presented to the academies each Autumn to enable them to purchase items to enhance the educational resources, facilities and experiences of pupils.

We are a local community hall. Used by local organisations to carry out and raise funds for their activities, individuals for private functions, a film club, an annual dance festival and the pantomime society holds its annual pantomime and shows. Currently, the hall provides a two day per week Post Office, following the closure of the main Post Office in the village.
