The Charity raises funds to provide Powered Wheelchairs for disadvantaged children with special needs in the North West of England, especially Cheshire.

The principal activities of F.O.N.I.S.A. are to generate funds to donate to Newnham Infant and Nursery School for specific projects. These funds are generated by selling uniform and by holding various fundraising events during the year.

The school opened on 6 January 2003 with a class of 30 children. Fund raising enabled the Charity to build three separate classroom blocks and a hall. The Charity offers free education for children aged between 5 - 18 , of some of the poorest families in The Gambia. There is a University fund that help with fees for our students that obtain a place at University or Professional Qualifications.

St Peter'S School PTFA raises funds by organising school based events such as School Fairs and cake sales. The funds raised are used to enhance the education of the children attending St Peter's C of E Primary School.

We work with a Tanzanian NGO called TUMAINI, based in Tanga. We provide funds to support orphans to go to school and in Further Education; and small loans to their carers to help with small income-generating operations. We raise money by subscriptions, donations, sponsorships and fundraising events. Twice a year, we visit the schools, colleges and homes with the NGO to see the children and carers.

In-house fund raising

Ridgewood Village Hall hosts a diverse range of community groups serving Ridgewood and the surrounding area, run by a committee of volunteers/trustees who run the day to day operations of the hall but also provide community fundraising events throughout the year.

The Charity undertakes: to manage Long Bennington's playing fields; to provide play equipment on those playing fields for the use of the general public; to maintain the fields and their equipment; to promote and coordinate the use of the playing fields and their equipment; to raise funds for the playing fields and their equipment.

The main function of the West Maldon Community Association is the management of the Community Centre. We try to provide a first class centre at reasonable prices, for the people of West Maldon. Most of our funds come from the hire of the centre and we also run bi-monthly quiz nights and other fund raising social events. Most of our profits are used to maintain and improve the facilities.

Village Hall run by trustees and a management committee for the use of all of the community for a variety of events. These include keep fit classes, dances, WI meetings, craft classes, band practices, church fundraising, parish children's christmas party, parish council meetings, private parties and fundraising for the upkeep of the village hall.

The charity continues to make donations to support the Heal Project in Zambia which runs a school for 300 children up to Zambian school grade 7 and an orphanage housing about 35 children ranging from 3-15 years old.All funds donated continue to be remitted to Zambia with no UK costs other than money transfer fees. All work on fundraising and administration is done by volunteers.

we are a pre-school play group preparing children under 5years old for starting school ,we employ 4 members of staff.we are funded by a mix of council funding, fees from parents and raising funds at events locally staged by our staff and committee.

The Club is affiliated to Lions Clubs International, a global organisation of volunteers dedicated to the highest standards of community and humanitarian service. Windsor Lions Club exists for fellowship and to help those in need in the local community through both fundraising and direct involvement.

Raising funds for charitable purposes

The Parent Teacher & Friends Association hold events in the school to raise money to buy additional equipment for the school
