To provide free and confidential counselling to children and young people in Birmingham. The counselling is provided by a team of volunteer counsellors, recruited and trained by the service.

Home-Start Richmondshire offers emotional support and practical help to parents/carers that have at least one child less than seven years of age and are facing difficulties, through a network of highly trained volunteers supported by project co-ordinators. The geographical focus is Richmondshire district which includes Catterick Garrison.

We offer support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children who are going through difficult times, e.g. isolation, ill-health, relationship difficulties, coping with twins or triplets, lone parenting, first time parenthood and children's behavioural problems, achieved through a combination of home-visting support by trained volunteers, group work and social events.

Denmead Community Centre is Denmead's most treasured asset which provides accommodation over 7 rentable rooms and 3 offices for over 40 active community groups including a pre-school, Denmead Brass Band, Southern Arts which includes the national under 13 Ballet team. It also provides a weekly lunch club for the elderly catered for by volunteers and monthly film night / quiz nights.

Pepper's- A Safe Place supports the mental health and wellbeing of locals in Rutland and Melton mowbray. They provide social drop-in sessions to combat isolation and a range of therapeutic activities. Pepper's aims to bridge the gap between no support and clinical support. Their centres are run by staff and volunteers.

Close House Projects works with young people and our aim is to help them develop their physical, mental, cultural and spiritual capacities through leisure, social and educational opportunities. We operate a cafe drop in Hereford city centre and also run youth centres in other areas within Hereford. The staff and volunteers at Close House Projects are trained to support the needs of young people.

The relief of those in need due to their experience of or risk of homelessness, by providing information on how and where to access services, supporting engagement with service providers, enabling service providers to better meet need, raising awareness and promoting volunteering.

Our volunteers are restoring Shillingstone Station on the old Somerset and Dorset Railway, with a section of the original line, to how it was in the 1950s/60s. Work includes the renovation of the station buildings, platforms and railway infrastructure, plus the restoration of heritage rolling stock. We have a small museum, shop and cafe, for the benefit of local residents, visitors and volunteers.

We provide patrols of trained volunteers to give reassurance, safety & support through listening, caring and helping on the streets of Southampton. Women seeking asylum in Cardiff who would otherwise birth alone are supported with regular visits from volunteers during late pregnancy; with comfort measures and nurturing presence throughout labour and delivery; then home visits to 8 weeks postnatal. We increase women's sense of their own value, their access to information, awareness of options and signpost to appropriate services.

To raise money for fabric, equipment & patients of Bridgnorth Community Hospital and a Butterfly Cafe for memory loss sufferers, by running a volunteer led coffee shop and through events, such as coffee mornings, table top sales, grand draws and all the other usual fundraising activities.

We are a community centre at the heart of our community. We are ran by a volunteer management committee. We employ three part time staff and have over 30 volunteers. We are part of The Scout Association and work to support Scout Groups in Hemel Hempstead. This includes the recruitment and training of adult volunteers and leaders; plus organising activities for young members; and supporting local Scout Groups in following the programme of The Scout Association.
