Enhance older people's independence: volunteer car drivers transport people with limited mobility AND in genuine need to a range of medical appointments and to social activities, ensuring a safe return home. Charity also offers a befriending service for lonely and isolated older members of the community. We also run Community Cafes and a Handyperson Service (simple jobs in the home and garden).

To provide a community based volunteer transport service in Tadcaster and surrounding area to those who, by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, cannot conveniently use other publically provided transport services.

We are a group of 45 unpaid volunteers who provide search and rescue services to people and animals who find themselves in difficulty, mainly in the countryside. We are available all day every day, whatever the weather. An Operational Support Group aid the Search and Rescue members. We depend on donations and fundraising. We assist both the Police and the Ambulance Service and other services.

The Charity is a Church of England church in South Hackney, East London. It organises Christian worship that is open to all. It assists in the governance of St John of Jerusalem Primary School, contributes volunteers to the Hackney Winter Night Shelter and St Joseph's Hospice, and hosts the Festival Chorus (a community choir) and an Alcoholics Anonymous group.

EnrichAbility recognise that a physical disability should not prevent anyone from having access to opportunities to enjoy leisure or benefit from learning. We work with adults with a physical disability, enabling them to access educational and social opportunities by organising activities, making introductions to other organisations or by pairing them with a volunteer who can assist them.

We are based in Camborne and rescue and rebuild old bicycles, we work with people of all ages who are disadvantaged by health, learning or a disability to achieve this, each person works on a one to one with a volunteer or member of staff, and they learn new skills that will help them in the future. They also learn to work as a team and make new friends, reducing isolation and building confidence.

In order to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the current Vineyard Statement of Faith and to support people in the wider community who may not be a part of our church, we seek to: encourage and facilitate worship; make disciples of Christ through training and evangelism; encourage fellowship amongst members; support the community and wider world through financial and volunteer support

The object of the CIO is to advance the education of children, adults and families by helping those experiencing difficulties in acquiring literacy skills. We aim to support children and adults to develop a genuine interest and love of reading for pleasure. We aim to develop and promote speech, language, communication, confidence, self esteem, literacy and strategies for learning in the home.

We work with churches of different denominations to serve homeless people in the city of Chichester. We do this by providing hot meals in church premises, with an emphasis on welcome and hospitality. We have employed an outreach worker and trained volunteers. We work with other charitable and statutory agencies to help direct people who are homeless to appropriate sources of support.

We work with primary schools in Malawi to improve the literacy levels of thousands of underprivileged children across the country. CharChar trains Literacy Support Specialist teachers (qualified Malawian graduate teachers) who volunteer to teach for one year at CharChar supported government primary schools. These teachers deliver phonics centred English lessons daily.

We are a church based pre-school, managed by a committee comprising parent and church representatives. All our employed staff hold early years qualifications or equivalent and the team includes parent volunteers. We work across Redbridge's diverse communities to encourage volunteering, build participation. increase access to public services, support victims of hate crime, harassment and discrimination and to help prevent hate crime, harassment and discrimination.

We provide care and education for children aged 3-4 years old, delivered by paid staff and volunteers. The setting has increased it's hours and offers flexible full day care. As a result the number of children has increased significantly, as well as the number of sessions they attend. This has resulted in a huge increase in income allowing us to make huge improvements to our setting.

UK Friends of ARSP supports the work of the German Peace Organisation Aktion Suhnezeichen Friedensdienste (Action Reconciliation Service for Peace) in the UK, in particular by supporting volunteers serving in England and UK volunteers serving abroad. Each year we host 12-15 volunteers for a 12 months voluntary services in England.

SAGE provides activities and support for adults with mental health difficulties. Its main base is a large allotment plot close to Sheffield City Centre. Activities include gardening, arts & crafts, cooking, & visits eg to environmental projects, & supported progression. A supported singing group meets at another site. Groups meet weekly year round and are supported by paid staff and volunteers.

We hold a number of workshops across Hull and East Riding offering a range of activities, including:- arts and crafts, music, walking, social meetings, digital arts, luncheon clubs and outings and day trips. These are supported by our staff and trained volunteers.
