Haircuts4Homeless is a registered charity set up by veteran hairdresser Stewart Roberts. Inspired by the actions of hairdressers in various parts of the world cutting hair for the homeless, Stewart set out not only to do this his self but to build a whole community of skilled hairdresser volunteers who give their time free of charge to give haircuts for homeless people.

LIONS ARE ORDINARY PEOPLE WHO DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS TO HELP OTHERS AND SUPPORT GOOD CAUSES THROUGHOUT THE BRITISH ISLES. GLOBALLY WE HAVE MORE VOLUNTEERS IN MORE PLACES THAN ANY OTHER SERVICE CLUB ORGANISATION, AND LOVE TO HELP OTHERS AND MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. BECAUSE WE ARE LOCAL, WE SERVE THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE LIVE.

Hay and District Dial-a-Ride provides community transport services for members in a 9 mile radius of Hay-on-Wye who are need of such a service. All of our drivers are volunteers and we own two vehicles: an 11 seater minibus and a 5 seater MPV. We also operate a Community Car Scheme to enable individual members to book longer specific journeys.

The PCC represents the Anglican parish covering Botley and North Hinksey. As such, working with the rector, other clergy and volunteer members, it provides religious services and pastoral support to all who live in the parish, and takes an active role in the community working for the good of all.

The activities we provide include a club for 6-11 year olds, Easter and Summer play schemes, family trips, rooms to hire and activities for adults such as zumba and an afternoon social for the over 50s.YPAC run sessions aimed at teenagers, a family support project called Happy Families and a community cafe/drop in every Friday in partnership with the volunteers from St George's.

1. Raising funds to support and advance the work of our partner charity in Thailand (CCD, Registered Thai Foundation). 2. Recruiting, screening and training skilled volunteers and professional interns on behalf of CCD. 3. Raising publicawareness of the needs of children with disabilities in Thailand.

Church based charity spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. Helping people find Life in all its fullness through: Weekly Sunday meetings, local discussion groups, "Streetworx" programme working with street friends / volunteers from all walks of life in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Looking to grow, buy a building & expand our activities and help increasing numbers of people experience God's love.

Supports disadvantaged children in need by 121 weekly meetings of 2/3 hours with an 'older friend', who is a volunteer. The child may have their own problems or the child may be in a family or care, that make it more difficult for the child to thrive. Aim is to improve the child's self esteem, allow them to have some fun and build confidence, plus widen their experience in a safe supported way.

The charity supports all aspects of the management of the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve in East Sussex by providing finance, volunteer assistance, staff accommodation and advice. Meetings and events for members of the charity are held to assist with fund raising.

Our aim is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community through our innovative community coffee house. We strive to empower young people by providing them with invaluable skills, volunteering opportunities, and mental health support. Our goal is to foster social inclusion, reduce isolation, and build a stronger, more connected community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Community VISION provides a range of services to support the Voluntary Community sector organisations and communities including volunteering, youth volunteering, governance information and advice, funding support, community accountancy and payroll support, capacity building and training.

We provide first aid training and first aid event cover in Newark on Trent and surrounding areas mainly within 15 miles of the town centre. Our community training and community/charitable event cover is provided free of charge - donations appreciated. Workplace training and cover for commercial events is provided at inexpensive rates. These services are provided by our volunteers.

To provide support for Scout Groups, Scout Network and the Explorer Scout Sections in Worcester District and to give active support to the District Lead Volunteer, who is responsible for both the development of Scouting in the District and for promoting and maintaining the policy of the Association.

Providing support through community hospitality to vulnerable asylum seekers in the West Midlands, including:- Hosting Network: short term accommodation for destitute asylum seekers in the homes of volunteers- Family Befriending: befriending scheme for young refugees living the UK without their families

We are a multi-cultural church in the city of Leicester aiming to serve our community to the best of our ability. As we are just starting, our programmes to be implemented will include various age groups from new born babies to the elderly. More activities will be implemented as and when we have more volunteers coming in and willing to be part of the church.

We recruit, train and support volunteers to engage with the local community.We promote volunteering in the local community.We run a Community car Scheme in which volunteer drivers take local people to health appointments, social activities and essential services.

The activities which we engage in on a weekly basis is as follows:Weekly lunch club for the community, including elderly and young parents with small children - Gener8.Weekly youth club for teenagers in the community on a Friday evening with around 100 young people in attendance run by volunteers from our Church - Ignite.

Green Door is for everyone and provides accessible activities encouraging the use of our local green spaces. Our aim is to help reduce loneliness and isolation in our communities. We offer accessible and adapted cycling for 11 months of the year with seasonal canoeing/kayaking and archery. We also deliver monthly history walks and talks. Green Door is volunteer-led with 2 staff in support.

Railworld operates as a visitor attraction - Our aim to Entertain and Educate about Sustainable Transport,Co2 Emissions.Volunteers of all ages and creeds have built Model and Garden Railways, and the habitat creative Wildlife Haven - Helping to emphasise the important links between Our Man-Made World and Our Natural World. Our Education Centre shows informative, entertaining films.

Working across various neighbourhoods of Birmingham, Fruit & Nut Village creates, develops and improves orchards, forest gardens and other perennial food growing spaces. We bring people together, build community and create short and long term experiences to benefit our volunteers and visitors to our growing sites.Fruit & Nut Village activities are undertaken to inspire, educate and bring joy.

We are a volunteer local radio station, providing information and local news to the community, opportunities for charities and other organisations to raise awareness and training for young people in particular to develop confidence, interpersonal and communication skills and gain work/voluntary experience.
