Community Heart Productions is an innovative, community organisation that uses activities as a vehicle to address social issues and exclusion. The organisation seeks to work with socially excluded young people and adults to help them explore the issues that they face each day through the arts, environment, volunteering and youth work.

Supershoes provide gifts of customised shoes and caps for eligible children who are in treatment for cancer, residing in anywhere in the UK. The gifts are individually hand painted for a specific child by volunteer artists who give their time and talent. Supershoes give a boost to children's wellbeing, whilst restoring a sense of identity.

The Friends of Upminster Windmill manage Upminster Windmill on behalf of the London Borough of Havering. A major restoration programme funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and others, including a significant contribution of volunteer labour by ourselves, was completed in 2023, and we now operate the site as a visitor attraction and educational resource.

Age Concern Appleby & District have two shops in the town. both run entirely by volunteers. We have no paid staff what so ever and all money raised, after expenses, rates, rents etc is given to local charities and groups which help and care for older people in the Appleby District.

Sightline provides a free confidential telephone befriending service for visually impaired people (befriendees). Sightline focuses its service delivery in England and Wales. The service is delivered by a team of trained volunteers (befrienders), many of whom are themselves visually impaired. A befriendee is matched to a befriender who then have a weekly chat at a date/time that suits both parties.

- Collect donated furniture and electrical items and supply it to people on low incomes who are referred by social and other support workers.- Refurbish and repair furniture as necessary.- Promote and contribute to Exeter's recycling strategy by keeping furniture out of local landfill sites.- Provide practical work experience for the long-term unemployed volunteers manning the charity.

Wakefield RDA provides horse riding for people with disabilities in the Wakefield District.Volunteers help with horse care and riding sessions.Training and qualifications are available to riders and volunteers.

We re-home (mainly) dogs and cats. They are neutered if old enough.All the dogs and cats are vaccinated, microchipped, flead, wormed and any other medical attention as required by the vets. A team of volunteers do home visits before the animals are adopted. Veterinary references, or a home check from an animal rescue local to the adopter, are required where animals are homed out of our area.

We provide a volunteer emergency medical first response and ambulance service in Gateshead and the surrounding areas.We also provide information, education and training to promote health, safety and first aid and pre-hospital skills.

Phoenix Community Furniture Scheme is based in Newtown and operate with the help of volunteers. Phoenix collects good quality donated furniture, household effects and electrical items from the public within Powys. Once in our warehouse these donated items are then cleaned, sorted, and where necessary tested by qualified staff, before being passed on to those in need living in Powys.
