Parchmore Methodist Church and Community Centre undertakes interrelated community and church development in partnership with local people, agencies and voluntary groups to enable the development of groups and individuals, provide services that encourage dignity and independence, challenge inequalities and reduce social exclusion, enable volunteering, and facilitate a sense of community.

Our committed and caring volunteers, who are usually parents themselves, offer friendship and informal support to parents with young children under five during difficult times in their lives. They visit families at home and are friendly, approachable people who are relied on and trusted by parents to listen without being judgmental, and to respect the needs of each individual family

The Frazer Theatre, owned by the Knaresborough Players Ltd. is staffed, managed and funded entirely by the commitment of unpaid volunteers. As well as presenting drama productions by the Knaresborough Players, the Frazer provides affordable activity and performance space to a wide range of local amateur groups including youth dance and drama organisations and disability groups.

Local fundraising events (community involvement)Volunteers help to run a community craft tea room, which is currently closed due to the pandemic. In October 2020 we opened a community food club to help local people who were struggling for food. The food club is based in the craft tea room. We are planning to set up a veterans support group, and continue with a monthly carers group.

Assist is a volunteer-led charity based in Withington, (est 1969). Our main focus is to reduce social isolation and loneliness in our local elderly population.We host a weekly lunch club and exercise classes, monthly Film Club,Tea and Talks and Positive Living sessions, weekly Digital Drop in, regular day trips, befriending, advocacy, volunteer driving and general support.

The charity continued to develop its innovative concept of mentoring teenagers using retired people, called "Grandmentors". Jecda selected Volunteering Matters to carry out this project, which was formally launched in June 2010, and has been extended into 2019.

Educating young people by providing facilities for teaching the game of football and when appropriate to enter leagues to play organised games against other teams. We provide a safe environment with qualified volunteers to teach and organise. We have achieved Football Association Charter Status signifying our ability to carry out the tasks and currently cater for around 210 young people.

To rescue injured, orphaned or unwell wild animals found by the public or surrendered to local veterinary practices in the South East London area; to rehabilitate said animals to the point of release back into the wild through the care of experienced volunteers; or to facilitate their safe transport to wildlife rescue centres that will then take on responsibility for their care and rehabilitation.

Helping others as grown rapidly and now help homeless, dvap, elderly, people struggling with poverty. The object of the CIO is to recycle, re-use and re-sell items donated by the general public ataffordable prices. The CIO will support relief from poverty, reduce landfill, advance education andcommunity development on the subject of climate change through the promotion of volunteers andworkshops.

We are a team of highly trained Bereavement Specialists offering free, expert bereavement support for adults, children and young people in Richmond Borough. Our expert volunteers & administrators provide space for clients to talk in a series of one to one sessions in person or remotely. We work with adults, children, families and older people.

The charity sells a wide range of goods donated by members of the public in its shop and gives all the profits back to people in need in the local community. Everyone who works in the shop is a volunteer, we have no paid staff.We also work with the local job centre and give valuable work experience and training to people hoping to get back into paid work.
